CHRISTIAN FORMATION AND EDUCATION FOR YOUTH

Teenagers are growing into a new phase in their faith. At Grace, we rejoice in and respect this growth process, and we accompany youth on their journey.

Youth Group - Grace Youth in Community (GYC)

GYC is the youth group for those in grades 9-12.  This group provides a place where youth can explore what it means to be a Christian in today’s world, as well as make friends with other young people.  We have a Sunday morning Bible study each week in which we address different topics relevant to our spiritual lives.  Each month we also meet together for service and social activities.  Check back to this page for updates to the monthly calendar for the group!

Confirmation

At Grace, young people interested in confirmation are invited to join in an intensive time of exploration and formation in the confirmation class.  We use the Confirm Not Conform curriculum, in which youth are invited to examine their beliefs and ask questions about their own spiritual lives.  Confirmands attend classes, field trips, and retreats, and work individually with a mentor.  The course concludes with a recognition service at Grace, and the confirmation service at the Cathedral.

December
3-4 Lock In.  What better way to celebrate St. Nick than have a lock in? We’ll hang out on Friday night, and Saturday we’ll entertain the kiddoes during the St. Nicholas bazaar.  Cookie decorating and Christmas-movie-watching will abound.
